Diocesan Council

This committee is described in Canon IX

A. Membership

1 There shall be The Diocesan Council which shall consist of:

(a) the Bishop;
(b) the Bishop Co-Adjutor, if there be one;
(c) the Bishop Suffragan, if there be one;
(d) the Dean;
(e) the Archdeacons;
(f) the Chancellor;
(g) the Vice-Chancellor;
(h) the Registrar
all as ex officio members, together with;
(i) eight clerical members and twelve lay members, to be elected from those members in attendance at Synod by the members of the Synod, during a regular meeting of Synod;
(j) four lay members (who need not be members of the Synod) who shall be appointed by the Bishop as and when the Bishop considers it necessary and desires so to do.

(2) The Executive Office and the Director of Administration shall be non-voting members of the Diocesan Council.
